Atmospheric Sprites

I found this story while surfing a bit this afternoon. They're really quite pretty, and the idea of a 7000 fps camera is just cool. There's a movie here too.

Atmospheric Sprites are flashes of light above thunderclouds during intense storms. I didn't even know they existed.

A Knife!

Thanks to Sarah Benedict for observing, a knife stuck in the ceiling at work. This patch of the ceiling is directly in front of June's office (she's in charge of everything, as best as I can guess). I thought it was funny, so I attached a web cam to a laptop and took some really crude (quality wise) pictures. The highlight of work today. Aside from my bagel with peanut butter.

Yes, back to regular blogging, I hope.

Fo Shizzle V-Day

For the first time in my life I got to celebrate Valentine's Day this year! I surprised Kim on Monday by showing up in Utica and taking her out to dinner. Rio Grande TexMex :D

We exchanged Valentine's Day gifts. Mine is the best by far (pictures to the left, click to enlarge). Painted Styrofoam, who would have thought? Clearly one of the advantages of dating an art school girl ;)

On Tuesday the Campus Crusade for Christ (Cru) guys cooked and served dinner for the ladies at Eastside Vineyard Church in DeWitt. We wanted to show them how much we appreciate them. Naturally, I don't need the plublicity in this area, but I'm sure the girls were impressed.

Exciting pictures are starting to flow in from recent escapades. Look forward to it, I am. Also, I have a web cam now and can take pictures of stuff myself, as long as it's within sight of my computer... Stay tuned for exciting web cam news. If I have the time to work out the streaming technology...
